About Us
Our History

The Copper & Glass Federal Credit Union, formerly Copperweld Federal Credit Union, was organized in 1938 by a group of Copperweld Steel Company employees. The name was officially changed February 1, 1998.

Our Goals

This not-for-profit financial institution is owned and operated by its members. A volunteer Board of Directors elected by members manage the credit union. They have the responsibility to establish policies, review progress and make plans to strengthen the foundation of the credit union. The goal of the volunteer board is to keep the credit union profitable and provide the lowest loan rates, highest savings rates that can possibly be offered and continues to operate in the best interest of the members. Stability is the main focus while keeping the credit union motto of "MEMBER HELPING MEMBER" in mind.

The Copper & Glass Federal Credit Union takes pride in being a pioneer of the credit union's powerful movement.
